History of the College

BAF Shaheen College Jessore was established on 26 January 1968 as Shatdal Junior School. Later, on January 1, 1989, the 9th class was allowed to open. On 16th April 1989, the name of Shatdal Junior School was changed to BAF Shaheen School. In 1969, its first batch participated in the SSC examination. After getting approval to open the college branch of this institution from 01 July 1984, its name was changed to BAF Shaheen School and College. In 1966, the first batch of the college participated in the HSC examination. From 01 January 2000, it was renamed as “BAF Shaheen College Jessore” as per the reforms and instructions of Biman Sadar. Along with the Bengali version, the English version from KG to 4th class was opened on 26 January 2006. Subsequently the present XI by opening one higher class every year Its range has increased up to class. Students from English version in 2015 are taking part in HSC examination.
